					<description>Hello Martback,

An interesting story! BTW, I love Soba noodles. I have a toko in a nearby town, where I can buy ingredients. It is sometimes also served with miso soup, but i have my own creation with eggs and tuna.

Kind regards,

<description>Brilliant Martin! You've done it again. Can't wait to get the next chapter in this series, might it be about Kinetics and possibly Spring Drive??

<description>I echo the sentiments of Rich and Harry. I find martbacks style to be very fun and informative at the same time. The introduction of Dr. Tokei was well integrated in the story line and I hope we will hear from him again soon; perhaps in a Type II discussion.

It was interesting to get into the heads of the Seiko engineering philosphies of this period and learn that there was a big push to get the prices of these quartz watches down as quickly as possible. It's fun to think that back then there was an engineer or perhaps a group that came to a consensus that +-15 seconds a month was going to be the benchmark standard for quartz timekeeping. Today, it seems to be the defacto standard across all brands.

Of course the pictures enhanced the story even further and again, it's great to see some of these watches presented as they were in display cases back in the early 1970's.

The soba looked good too.

Thanks for posting martback.
