I think for the money ($220.-) Casio should have added a Moondata/Tidegraph function on this model too. If you work at sea a Tidegraph is a good tool, although I think the crew of the Northwesterner probably won't use it, since they travel too far (From Seatle to Alaska wasn't it?)for an accurate reading. I wasn't so familiar with the old Gulfman models. Just got my new Gulfman and I really like it...in particular what you said, the highly legible display. Sharp contrast and large numbers.
